At Hostawake we handle the personal data of customers and visitors on a simple principle: we ask for the minimum, we use it for what we say, and we do not sell it to anyone.
1. Data controller
Hostawake is the controller of the data collected through this site and through the service purchased. You can contact us by opening a ticket from your client area.
2. What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address and billing details needed to provide and charge for the service.
- Technical data: server access logs, IP addresses and resource usage data, needed to run and protect the platform.
- Support data: the content of the enquiries you send us when you ask for help.
3. What we use it for
To provide the service purchased, issue invoices, handle support, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on the performance of the contract between us, on compliance with legal obligations and, in the case of optional cookies, on your consent.
5. Retention
We keep account data while the service is active and, afterwards, for the legally applicable limitation periods. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security reasons.
6. Recipients
We do not sell or hand over your data. It is only accessed by the providers needed to run the service, such as the data center or the payment gateway, which act as processors and are bound by the same obligations.
7. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data by opening a ticket from your client area. You can also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information: encryption in transit, access control, monitoring and backups.
